The Parma City School District is proud to be a drop-off location for Operation Toy Soldier this year.
Operation Toy Soldier is a nationwide initiative to provide toys to the children of deployed and non-deployed soldiers, and also the children of soldiers that have just returned home.
In partnership with American Legion Post 703 in Parma Heights and Yurch Funeral Home, Parma City School District’s Administrative Offices will be collecting toys from November 18 – December 18, 2019.
The community is invited to drop off unwrapped toys to 5311 Longwood Avenue from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. There is a bin located in the lobby for all donations.
All toys collected will benefit the USO of Northern Ohio, and all donations will go to local families in the Cleveland area. The USO, or United Service Organizations, is a top military support organization that supports military service member and their families.
The suggested age range is between 5 – 10 years old, but toys for all ages are welcome and appreciated.
