Important Update to the Opening of School

The concern we heard most frequently in the past several days was the timing of a potential hybrid start to the school year compared to the beginning of PVLA. Parents were clear in their frustration with having their child start with one teacher or set of teachers, only to change to another three weeks later. We are working very quickly to alleviate this legitimate issue but need to revise our PVLA timeline. Please see the following revision:

August 31, 9:00 AM: Deadline to reserve a spot in PVLA at parmacityschools.org

  • We will send a confirmation email to those who have completed the PVLA Reservation Form in the last 24 hours. Those who complete the form on Monday by the 9:00 AM deadline will receive a confirmation at 9:05 AM on Monday. 
  • If you want to cancel your PVLA registration, please email registration@parmacityschools.org or call 440.885.8632. 
  • Please remember that PVLA is a one-semester commitment. 

September 8: First day of remote learning for students NOT in PVLA

  • PVLA students are no longer participating in learning activities this week.
  • If you have additional questions please contact your school building directly.

September 14: First day of PVLA

  • PVLA students will receive information about their schedule, teacher, etc. between now and September 14.

Thank you for your patience. We know this is a change from our stated plans, but we are responding to parental input and allowing students to have the same teacher or set of teachers throughout the school year (provided they do not change from PVLA to in-person or vice versa at the semester change).
