COVID Protocols for the 2021-2022 School Year

We understand that our families are anxiously planning for the upcoming school year and that guidance about COVID protocols is an important consideration as we enter August. We, too, have monitored the ever-evolving guidelines, legislation, and mandates issued by governmental and health agencies, as well as the developments related to the Delta variant of COVID-19.  

At this time, we plan to implement the following guidelines related to the wearing of masks:
  • On the school bus, students must wear masks. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention hold jurisdiction over all public transportation, including that for schools, and have issued this mandate.
  • In school, we strongly recommend that all individuals wear masks. However, this is not mandatory.
The Cuyahoga County Board of Health has scheduled a conference call for all school districts for August 6. We will wait to learn of their guidance before issuing any further information such as quarantine protocols, etc.
