PCSD invites residents to join the Master Planning for Strategic Consolidation discussion
November 11, 2019
Parma City School District Superintendent Charles Smialek, Ph.D. wants to hear from residents and stakeholders of Parma, Parma Heights and Seven Hills regarding the future of facilities in the district.
Since the beginning of September, the PCSD has been holding a series of Master Planning for Strategic Consolidation meetings throughout the district. The final four Master Planning meetings in this series are scheduled through December 2.
These meetings provide information about why the district is engaging in this important process, what building options are being considered, and what possible 21st century learning spaces can look like. At the conclusion of each meeting, Smialek asks attendees to provide their feedback and input.
Superintendent Smialek highly encourages anyone in the community to attend one of these final four meetings. For those unable to attend, information from the meetings is posted on the PCSD website. In addition, stakeholders can provide their input via an online survey available on the website. However, Smialek asks that residents review the information first, before taking the online survey.
"We are excited that so many people have shared their input to help us develop a great plan for our facilities,” Smialek expressed. “We need to consider as many perspectives as we can, so we hope that even more community members will complete the online survey if they have not been able to attend a meeting."
