COVID Notification Procedure Update

We are amending our notification procedures for COVID cases. In the second semester, school personnel will only notify families of an exposure if your child has to quarantine. Following recently released guidelines from the Ohio Department of Health, quarantining is only necessary if a child was within three feet of a COVID-positive peer or if the exposure occurred outside the classroom (cafeteria, extra-curricular, etc.). This change in notification procedure allows us to clearly communicate to families whose children are actually affected by a COVID case, while not causing unnecessary alarm for families who are not impacted. To ensure that we continue to be transparent, we will continue to post to our dashboard the number of cases of COVID and number of students in quarantine at each school. The dashboard is available at
