Treasurer's Office Spreads Holiday Cheer Each Year
December 16, 2022
In the season of giving and spreading holiday cheer, our central office staff, board members, and building administrators help our families in need by purchasing gifts on students' wish lists.
This year, we provided gifts for 220 students in our schools. Also, two families will receive gifts thanks to the generosity of a local company which was made possible through a connection in our Human Resources Department.
Sheri Bartko, PCSD Payroll Supervisor, shared that the district has been collecting and donating gifts to students for over 20 years.
“There are a lot of families out there today that need our help, and it shows how much we, as a district, can help these families,” Bartko said of the holiday gift-giving program. “It’s a great feeling to know that our students are going to see gifts under their tree and have a very Merry Christmas.”
Every year, colorful and festive gifts fill the Treasurer's Office and are sent home for the holidays right before winter break.
“It's so wonderful to know we have a great bunch of people here in the district willing to help out our students and families in our community,” she expressed. “I just want to give a big ‘Thank You’ to everyone. And to give a special ‘Thank You’ to Christina Kruczek for helping me get the names and to Debra Janosik and Nicole Filippelli for helping me out when I needed assistance in passing out tags and picking up gifts. This has been a rough year for all of us, and I couldn't have done it without these ladies.”
