November 24, 2020

Chevy Trax

The Parma City Schools Foundation, Inc. is once again giving away a brand new car!

Serpentini Chevrolet of Strongsville has generously sponsored a 2020 Chevy Trax that will be awarded to one lucky winner on December 10, 2020!*

The Foundation will also be awarding a $500 second-place prize and a $250 third-place prize!

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at any school building and the District’s Administrative Offices. Cash or check will be accepted. Please make checks payable to Parma City Schools Foundation. The deadline to purchase tickets is December 3, 2020.

All winning tickets will be pulled live on the Parma City Schools Foundation, Inc. and Parma City School District Facebook pages.

Proceeds from this car raffle will benefit students and student organizations of the Parma City School District.

The Parma City Schools Foundation, Inc. was founded in 2011 to support all students of the Parma City School District and is guided by its mission to enrich educational experiences for students through awards, educator grants, special projects, student programs, scholarships and more.

Barbra Filipow, one of the Parma City Schools Foundation, Inc. founders and trustees, said the dream is to raise enough funds each year so schools would not have so many fundraisers and that schools can provide the best for every child.

Annual events like the Taste of the Towns, Annual Car Raffle and Drive For Your Students, help the Foundation get closer to that dream.

“What I am really proud of is that we have the best board in the world,” Filipow expressed earlier this year after the Foundation was named a 2020 Pride Award Recipient by the Parma Area Chamber of Commerce. “They are willing to take a risk, are willing to work on anything and they all really work well together.”

The Foundation has raised thousands of dollars over the past nine years and has given this money back to the schools, students and staff.

“We (the founders) all graduated from Parma Schools and all had great educational experiences,” Filipow shared. “So, we want to be able to give back and continue to help provide those great experiences for students.”

The community can support the Parma City Schools Foundation through donations, legacy gifts, attending fundraising events and even shopping through Amazon Smile. The group would also like to grow in members. Visit https://www.parmacityschools.org/foundation to learn more.
