Enjoy great local food and specialties at annual Taste of the Towns on Sept. 25

2018 Taste of the Towns

September 9, 2019

Come hungry and support a good cause because the 8th Annual Taste of the Towns will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2019!

Going strong since 2012, Parma City Schools Foundation, Inc. invites the community to enjoy a night of food and fun, with all proceeds being distributed to every school in the district for the benefit of all the students.

The event will be held at St. Michael’s Woodside, 5025 E. Mill Road in Broadview Heights, from 6 – 8:30 p.m.  Over 20 local restaurants and eateries will be serving up their specialties, such as Corleone’s, Honey Hut, Michael Angelo’s, Carrie Cerino’s, Lang’s Butcher Block, Stancato’s, Swensons, Rosewood Grill, and Nothing Bunt Cakes.

Students in Parma City School District’s Culinary Arts Career and Technical Education program will also be in attendance, showing off their skills and dishing out their delicious creations.

No fundraiser is complete without prizes, and Taste of the Towns will have plenty. Baskets, raffles, and sideboards are all planned for the event. The Foundation will also be giving away a brand new 2019 Chevy Trax.

Tickets for the Taste of the Towns are $30 if purchased before September 16. The price increases to $35 per ticket if purchased after September 16. Tickets for the car raffle are sold separately and cost $10 per ticket.

“This is a prime way of giving back to the students of the Parma Schools, that’s our motto for the Foundation,” Barb Filipow, Foundation Trustee, expressed. “Giving back demonstrates your pride, shows your appreciation and provides opportunities for today’s students.”

Since it was formed, The Parma City Schools Foundation, Inc. has given over $150,000 directly to the schools and students. These funds have been used for scholarships, technology needs, extracurricular activities, student recognition programs and other instructional needs.

“Taste of the Towns is a time when the schools, the community and local leaders can all get together and have an enjoyable evening,” she said. “And people get to sample food from the restaurants that they can then go back to. This event has brought more people into our local businesses, so our local business and partners are appreciative of the opportunity and are willing to come back every year.”
