STEM School Receives "Innovative Educators" Award!

Congratulations to the Parma City School District’s Pleasant Valley Elementary and STEM School for being recognized by the WVIZ/PBS Education Advisory Council as Innovative Educators! STEM teachers Brenda Nikic and Melissa Moore, who were instrumental in starting the STEM School, presented on behalf of the district to share best practices at the April 14, 2015 WVIZ/PBS Advisory Council Meeting.  

The Innovative Educators event was created to showcase educators who demonstrate outstanding examples of integrating technology into teaching and learning. Nikic and Moore shared a demonstration providing an overview of exemplary methodologies, and innovative integration of technology in teaching and/or technology used to create student products.
