Mrs. Lisa Kubinski is the new assistant principal of Hillside Middle School! Get to know Mrs. Kubinski!

Past positions held in PCSD and other districts: 
Taught 7th & 8th Grade Science at St. Francis of Assisi School, Taught 7th Grade Science and Pre-Algebra and 4th Grade Math and Science at Brooklyn City Schools. Then became Green Valley Elementary & Hillside Middle School Dean of Students

Education:
Bachelors of Science in Psychology with a Communication double major at John Carroll University. Teaching Licensure from Notre Dame College. Masters in Administration from Cleveland State University.

How does it feel to be in this new position?
I am very excited to have this role. I look forward to learning and growing as an educational leader in the Parma City Schools.

Why did you want this new position?
I am passionate about education and educational leadership. This move into administration will allow me to support the work being done in the classroom and create a safe and effective academic environment where all students can be successful and feel they belong.

What are you most looking forward to this school year?
I am most looking forward to getting to know the families and students in my buildings.

Short-term goals you would like to achieve in your new position? Any long-term goals?
A long-term goal would be to get my doctorate and be a building principal or curriculum director.

What is one thing you want people to know about you?
I am not afraid of challenges and I really enjoy coming up with out-of-the-box solutions to problems.

Any other details about you that you would like to share?
I am married to my husband Alex. We have a cat named Lucy and we foster kittens for the Cleveland Animal Protective League (but I consider myself a dog person).
