GV Art and Design partners with PACTS Program for a Special T-Shirt Sale
November 23, 2021
Parma City School District PACTS program was proud to once again partner with GV Art and Design to create a custom shirt that embodies the uniqueness of all.
Katie Vento, an Intervention Specialist at Parma Senior High School, said the program reached out to GV Art and Design again this year after a successful t-shirt sale in 2018 and they were happy to support the program.
PACTS, or Parma Area Center for Transition Services, is a Career and Technical Education program that helps students become prepared for success after high school. Students with multiple disabilities in the program have met graduation requirements, but still need vocational training, life-skills training, social-skills training and functional academics.
The shirt design featuring popular Cleveland landmarks together with the slogan, “Specially Made Cleveland” on the front, with “Why Fit In When You Were Born To Stand Out” printed on the back.
Vento said she wanted the shirt to appeal to everyone and highlight the students and staff of Parma.
Around 800 shirts were sold this school year, with all the proceeds benefitting the annual end-of-the-year dance and luau for students with disabilities from several area school districts. Vento shared that she was overwhelmed by the support and is excited to start planning the event, which will have a few special surprises to make it even bigger and better than before.
“GV Art and Design is an amazing company,” she expressed. “They saw how impactful the dance was and they were thrilled to support us again. We can’t thank them enough.”
