Sherry won letters in track and gymnastics.  She was a three time Valley Forge track Most Valuable Player as all as a Lake Erie League champion recognized as All-Lake Erie League in seven events over her three year track career.  Sherry was a regional hurdles champion and four time OHSAA state place winner.   She was the 100m hurdles state champion as a senior and was fourth in the state as a sophomore.  Sherry owns Valley Forge records in the 100m hurdles and long jump.

 

She returned to Valley Forge to mentor Robin DeZuba to the state hurdles award stand.  Sherry also earned the honor as high school All-American in gymnastics in 1979.
