Power of the Pen: Eighth grade members catch the bus right after school from Normandy to Hillside and we meet as a combined team from 3:15 to 4:30 on Thursdays. Participants write and share creative stories. The weekly meetings are fun and noncompetitive and everyone interested in writing is welcome. In January, students will have the chance to compete against other area 7th and 8th graders in a judged competition. Winners will go on to a regional and possibly state competition in spring. This is optional and free to participants.

Spanish Club: This club gives students the opportunity to learn more about the Hispanic culture and to practice their Spanish skills. It is a student led club, where the members bring their input and ideas. Also, the students get to socialize with any members from 8th through 12th grade that are currently taking Spanish.  We meet at least once a month and occasionally meet outside of the school for certain activities.

Yearbook: Our purpose is to create the yearbook for school making creative pages, descriptive captions and using vibrant pictures.  Use your free time to walk around the building taking fun pictures of your friends in the school atmosphere.  We meet every Tuesday.  If you join yearbook you take photos and come in on your own time.  At the end of the school year, you see what your hard work looks like while you and your fellow classmates read and share yearbooks. Contact:  Mr. Marc Kirby
