BUILDING OUR FUTURE/CONSOLIDATION INFORMATION
BUILDING OUR FUTURE COMMUNITY PRESENTATION OCTOBER 2022
Our architectural consultants have completed their initial projections of the high school that we will build if November's bond issue passes. We are very excited about this rendering and wanted to share it with you as soon as possible. Please note a few features as you take a look:- The school "faces" W 54 as the main public entrance.
- The red brick and clock tower are direct references to the "Queen of High Schools" heritage, as this is the same location for our singular campus. Participants in this summer's listening sessions indicated a strong preference for preserving our district's history as much as possible.
- The southwest corner of the school contains a glass front where we will locate our cosmetology and culinary programs. You will also notice an entrance very close to the glassy area which will help the public to easily access these experiences.
- The wings that jut toward the north (Longwood) portion of the campus are unique to grade levels. As we have explained, the ninth and tenth grades have their own wings with separate entrances, dining areas, and office spaces for supporting services.
We do not yet have a bond issue number. However, we know that this will be for 4.0 mills, costing residents $11.67/month/$100,000 of their property value. You can email bondissuequestions@
parmacityschools.org with any questions you would like us to answer. We will continue to explain throughout the fall advantages to a newly constructed lone high school!
