Melissa Koss Named Associate Principal of Valley Forge High School

Parma City School District is pleased to announce Melissa Koss as the new Associate Principal of Valley Forge High School.

A dedicated member of the Parma City School District community for 15 years, Koss brings 17 years of educational experience and a deep commitment to student success. She has spent the past six years serving as an Assistant Principal at Valley Forge High School, supporting student growth, fostering positive school culture, and promoting academic excellence.

Koss began her career as a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher, spending nine years in the classroom helping students develop practical life skills while building meaningful relationships that supported their growth both in and out of school. She later served as a middle school Dean of Students before returning to Valley Forge in an administrative role.

As Associate Principal, Koss looks forward to building on the strong foundation already in place at Valley Forge. She values consistency in expectations, communication, and student support systems while continuing to seek opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Outside of school, Koss enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband are raising three young children, and her experiences as both an educator and parent reinforce her belief in the importance of strong partnerships between schools and families. She remains committed to helping create a supportive environment where all students can thrive.
