New Superintendent Announcement

We are pleased to announce Dr. Scott Hunt as the new Superintendent of the Parma City School District. Dr. Hunt brings with him over 35 years of experience in education, including a distinguished career as a superintendent. His depth of knowledge and proven leadership will be invaluable as we continue to move our district forward.

The Board of Education worked diligently and thoughtfully throughout the selection process to ensure we chose the right leader for our community, and we are confident that Dr. Hunt is the ideal person to guide us into the future.

Dr. Scott J. Hunt is a seasoned educational leader with over 35 years of experience spanning K-12 and post-secondary education. He has served in a wide range of roles, including teacher, counselor, principal, superintendent, and adjunct professor. Currently the Interim Superintendent of Pickerington Local School District, Dr. Hunt has held leadership positions at the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, where he led statewide initiatives in field relations, technology, finance, and stakeholder engagement.

With a strong background in strategic planning, curriculum development, data-driven instruction, and organizational leadership, Dr. Hunt is known for fostering collaborative environments and implementing innovative district-wide reforms. As former Superintendent of Cardinal Local Schools, he led successful levy campaigns, launched a business collaborative, expanded academic offerings, and implemented comprehensive technology and safety initiatives.

Dr. Hunt holds an Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, a Master’s in Education from the University of South Florida, and a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Bethany College. He is also an active member and past board representative in several state-level educational organizations and has presented at numerous professional conferences across Ohio.
