Steve Vaughn

Steve and his wife, Mary, live on Pinehurst Drive. Steve has been a resident of Parma for 33 years. His wife Mary is a graduate of Valley Forge High School and her father graduated from Parma Schaaf High School. Steve's three children all graduated from Normandy High School. Stephen (2002) works at NASA Glenn Research Center and coaches wrestling at Berea-Midpark High School, Hannah (2011) is the Director of the DULA program at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) in Pittsburgh, and Kathryn (2016) is an engineer for Boeing and has earned a master's degree in Aviation Safety from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Steve graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Education degree in Science Education (1982) and Cleveland State University with a master's degree in Counseling (1996).

During his career, Steve taught in several schools in Ohio before settling in Parma and teaching at Greenbriar and Normandy High School. Steve taught almost all science topics during his career.  His coaching duties included baseball, football, track and his greatest passion wrestling. He is Pathways trained and a mentor teacher.

Upon retiring, he entered the Professional Golfers of America (PGA) management program and was elected into membership in 2015. Steve currently works as a Golf Teaching Professional at The Golf Dome in Chagrin Falls. Steve provides individual lessons and group clinics.

Steve serves on the Curriculum and Finance Committees.
