Linda Kohar
Linda Kohar previously served on Parma City Council, representing Parma Ward 8 from 2020 through 2023.
Although Linda did not grow up in Parma (she grew up in Old Brooklyn and is a graduate of Rhodes High School), she has been a homeowner in Parma since 1989 and a resident since 2016. Linda enjoys the many advantages of living in a city like Parma, which offers walkable neighborhoods, friendly residents and many other amenities, similar to the neighborhood she grew up in.
Linda was the first of her family to complete college. She is a graduate of Cuyahoga Community College with an Associate in Applied Business. While working in the Information Technology field and raising two daughters, she completed her Bachelor of Arts Cum Laude degree from Baldwin-Wallace College. After the events of 9/11, Linda served with the Transportation Security Administration as a security officer at Cleveland Hopkins Airport.
Linda, as well as her children and grandson are graduates of the Public School System. Her grandson, Nicholas, recently graduated from Parma Senior High and is attending Kent State University. She enjoyed sharing in his high school experiences, attending swim meets and other events at the school.
Linda became widowed in 2008 after a long marriage to her husband Steve. It was a big adjustment to her life, but she persevered to continue contributing to her family and community. Phone: (440)345-5180
