Ashley McTaggart is a dedicated wife to Cory and loving mother to Olivia, Emma, and Margaret. Her journey began with a heartfelt commitment to public service, stemming from her childhood desire to serve her country—an aspiration she realized as an Air Force veteran and current reservist.

Ashley’s military career commenced as a medic, where her focus on patient care spanned hospitals across the nation and in Germany. Transitioning to a leadership role, she taught "self-aid buddy care" and CPR, ensuring military members and medical staff were equipped with vital skills.

At home, Ashley’s dedication continued as a licensed practical nurse and executive director of an assisted living and memory care community. Her commitment to patient care, coupled with adept management, surpassed state and Medicaid standards, fostering seamless transitions and exceptional care.

In 2017, prioritizing family, Ashley pivoted her career focus and obtained a real estate license, finding a fulfilling avenue that balanced her passion for helping others with flexibility for her family. With her husband Cory joining in 2020, they established their small business, McTaggart Homes LLC.

Her aspiration on the school board is to unite the community; bridge the gap and foster a collaborative environment where everyone feels valued and supported. Recognizing that every child's education matters, Ashley seeks to create a positive impact that unites rather than divides.  This will have the greatest impact on our school district as a whole and support the overall success of our students.
