Kindergarten Program Options
Parma City Schools provides different Kindergarten options to meet the needs of our diverse learners. All of our Kindergarten programs are full day which provide a stronger academic foundation and better literacy outcomes than half-day programs.
Traditional Kindergarten
PCSD provides a high-quality, learner-centered curriculum aligned to Ohio's Kindergarten Learning Standards that promotes active student engagement through the use of MyView Literacy, enVision Math, Mystery Science, and Studies Weekly.
Kindergarten STEM
STEM is a project based learning environment where students work in 'teams' to solve a problem or issue. STEM helps build collaborative learning and teamwork skills. Parents must be active participants with projects, capstones, gathering materials, helping in the classroom and attending community immersions. Only available at Pleasant Valley Elementary.
