Patrick McCune

Patrick McCune has lived in Parma for the past 17 years with his wife, Suzie. Together, they have raised four daughters in the community. One daughter will be a senior at Normandy High School this fall - let's go, Class of 2027! Their other three daughters are graduates of local high schools: Holy Name (2019), Parma Senior High School (2021), and Normandy High School (2023). Their two oldest daughters purchased a home in Parma about a year ago. The McCune family loves living close together and cherishes their Sunday dinners.
Over the years, Coach Patrick has enjoyed helping develop the skills of young athletes throughout the community. He coached shot put and discus for CYO Track and Field and served as the third base coach for two Parma Recreation girls softball teams. Mr. McCune is a fierce supporter of Parma, Parma Heights, and Seven Hills and firmly believes the future of the community begins with its schools.
Mr. McCune is a charismatic leader with decades of management experience and an extensive background in all aspects of the hospitality industry. He is particularly effective in employee relations, team building, and change management, while consistently meeting and exceeding budget expectations. Throughout his career, he has successfully improved challenging operations by implementing changes that enhance quality and customer service. He is a highly respected and dedicated professional with experience in employee development, operational effectiveness, and building high-performing teams.
His culinary journey has taken him across the country, providing valuable experiences that contributed to his extensive knowledge of professional standards of excellence. The durable, transferable skills he has developed throughout his lifetime are now used to assist individuals seeking a path to self-sufficiency.
In 2021, Chef Patrick founded The Culinary Academy, a specialized training component of the Workforce Development Program at the West Side Catholic Center. The Culinary Academy provides training through a variety of educational experiences, including classroom instruction, lectures, reading assignments, video presentations, online training, hands-on kitchen skills, and on-the-job learning opportunities at the Moriah House Family Shelter, Resource Center, and local food service establishments. Participants gain a well-rounded understanding of the responsibilities involved in being a restaurant employee and enter the workforce with confidence and increased culinary literacy.
Mr. McCune is focused on the health, well-being, and safety of every student in the public school system.
