  • Dear Ridge-Brook/Renwood Students and Families,

I am both excited and honored to join the PCSD Family as the new Dean of Students at both Ridge-Brook and Renwood Elementary Schools.  Over the past few weeks, I have had the privilege of touring our campuses and meeting a few students and staff members, which has given me a clear picture of what makes our schools so special.  My main goals at Ridge-Brook/Renwood include continuing to establish and implement a culture of high expectations for behavior and academics at the schools, continuing the successful implementation of the district's PBIS initiative, and ensuring that students are prepared for success in the next grade level, in college, in the work force, and in life.  As the new Dean of Students, I am looking forward to collaboratively transforming our schools to the highest performing schools in Ohio as we prepare for a successful 2019-2020 school year.

I began my career as a Middle School Math and Language Arts teacher before becoming a National Professional Development Specialist for Tri-Rivers Educational Computer Association (TRECA).  At TRECA, I traveled around the country and worked with some of the highest performing and most innovative school districts in the US to coach teachers on how to successfully implement 1:1 technology in the classroom.  I have also served as a Principal for Imagine Schools in Toledo, OH, and as an Assistant Superintendent for both Performance Academies and Imagine Schools in Cleveland.  Most recently, I served as the Director of Mentoring and Tutoring for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lorain County.

I earned my Bachelor's degree at Cleveland State University in Middle Childhood Education, with a specialization in Language Arts and Mathematics.  I earned my Master's degree in Leadership in Educational Administration at Capella University, and I will receive my Superintendent License in May 2020 through the Superintendent Licensure Program at Cleveland State University.  I am a huge Cleveland sports fan, and I currently live in North Ridgeville with my amazing wife, Melina, my (almost) four-year-old son, Giorgio, and my two-year-old daughter Eleni.  I hope everyone has a wonderful school year, and I look forward to getting to know all of our students and families.
