Meet the Principal

  • Stropko Tiffany Stropko, Principal of Pleasant Valley Elementary and STEM Education

    Stropko is a 1997 graduate of Valley Forge High School, and has been with the Parma City Schools since 2002, serving as a Family and Consumer Science teacher at Normandy, administrative intern at Normandy, assistant principal at Valley Forge, and this past year as principal of Hillside Middle School.   She received her bachelor’s degree in Education from Kent State in 2001, a masters in Educational Leadership from Baldwin Wallace in 2005, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Educational Leadership from Concordia University of Chicago and will graduate in 2018. Ms. Stropko has participated in a variety of professional development opportunities in the region on such topics as STEM Leadership, best instructional practices, effective use of data, and PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Supports). She served as the District Co-chair for PBIS at the secondary level. She has presented at various conferences and has also been an adjunct Professor at the University of Akron where she taught a graduate level course in “Using Technology to Engage Student Learning.” Ms. Stropko sums up her philosophy of education with a Chinese Proverb. “A child’s life is like a piece of paper on which every person leaves a mark.”
