Extended Day Child Care
ATTENTION EDC FAMILIES
As of now, schools are scheduled to reopen using the Hybrid model beginning Monday, September 28, 2020. This means students attend remotely on Mondays and in person two other days each week.
If your child’s last name begins with A-K, EDC will be available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. If your child’s last name begins with L-Z, EDC will be available on Thursdays and Fridays. Your account will be charged ONLY for contracted services on the two days each week your child attends school in-person.
Extended Day Child Care is not subsidized with funds from the Parma Board of Education. We rely on full and timely tuition payments from parents like you who contract for child care service. You will be receiving an invoice requesting a tuition deposit for EDC services between September 29th and October 30th. Actual charges will be deducted from this payment and credits applied to your November tuition payment. Tuition for EDC service must be PRE-PAID monthly or bi-monthly by the 15th of the month prior to the service period. No child care will be provided unless payment for service has been credited to your account.
EDC ENROLLMENT 2020-2021
Extended Day Child Care is not available during remote learning while school buildings are closed to students.
If you anticipate needing EDC service once schools reopen, complete the Inquiry Form to the right. Extended Day Care slots are limited and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
PAYMENT POLICY FOR CHILD CARE SERVICE EFFECTIVE AUGUST 2020
Tuition for Extended Day Child Care Services must be pre-paid monthly or bi-monthly by the 15th of the month prior to the service period. A schedule of EDC service periods and due dates are listed on the Tuition Changes for 2020-2021 tab of our website. The schedule will also be included with the enrollment information registered parents receive. PARENTS ARE NOT CHARGED DURING REMOTE LEARNING.
The Parma City Schools Department of Children’s Services relies heavily on full and timely payments from all parents who contract for child care. We thank you for keeping your EDC account current.
To request a statement of total child care payments made for income-tax purposes, email us at email@example.com. Include your name, your child's name and the school they attend, and we will send your information by return email.
