• Our World Language department offers the following classes:

    • American Sign Language I, II, and III
    • French I, II, III, IV Honors, V Advanced Placement
    • Spanish I, II, III, IV Honors, V Advanced Placement

Students are required to have 5 elective credits to graduate which may include World Language classes.

Three years of a world language is strongly recommended for admittance to many programs within universities. Three years of World Language classes may allow students to become eligible for an Honors Diploma.

Students who complete advanced coursework and assessments in World Languages may be eligible to obtain the Seal of Biliteracy. Students interested in receiving this seal at graduation should meet with their school counselor to discuss details of the process. For information on the Seal of Biliteracy, please visit the Ohio Department of Education website at http://education.ohio.gov/Topics/Learning-in-Ohio/Foreign-Language/Ohio-Seal-of-Biliteracy
