STEM Application Information

  • The purpose of creating the application is to provide applicants with a clear and consistent delineation of the Parma City School District’s STEM Learning philosophy and program.

The digital application provides a streamlined process for families as well as ease of use, timestamped submissions, and access.  You will receive an email if accepted.

For students applying for STEM Project-Based Learning in grades K-8, applications will be accepted based on space available. Students MUST be registered in the Parma City School District to be accepted into STEM.

All new students to the STEM Project-Based Learning program MUST complete the online application and teacher recommendation. Applications will be reviewed by a committee of STEM Coaches, building administrators and the department of curriculum and instruction.

Application Procedures

      • Kindergarten STEM Application and STEM Grades K-8 Applications  for the 2024-2025 school year will be open from January 1, 2024 - January 31, 2024

    • STEP 3: Complete and sign the STEM Contract

    • STEP 4: A PCSD representative will email the teacher’s email provided in the application with instructions for them to fill out their online teacher recommendation.
      • New to the district incoming Kindergartners are NOT REQUIRED to have a recommendation from a teacher. However, current KLA and First Step students must include a teacher's email. If your student is currently in a preschool program outside of Parma City Schools or another schooling option, you are welcome to include contact information for a teacher, but this is optional and will not disqualify your incoming Kindergartner from applying to the STEM program.
STEM applications for Grades 1 - 8 MUST include a teacher's email address. If you do not provide a teacher's email, your application WILL NOT be processed. All teacher emails can be found under 'Contact Us - Staff Directory'.
