Casey Yackin was a three-year varsity football letter winner while playing outside linebacker and special teams snapper.  During his senior year, Casey was the team captain and the Patriots second-leading tackler. Casey also earned four varsity letters while a member of Coach Semary's Patriot wrestling teams.  Casey's wrestling honors include selection as team captain, three trips to the state meet, a district championship, the LELE MVP and Plain Dealer All-Scholastic recognition.  His senior season was highlighted by an LEL team championship, a fifth-place finish at the state meet and the coaches' vote as the Patriot Male Athlete of the Year.  

Casey's post-Patriot wrestling career continued at Ohio University where he earned four letters, placed four times in the MAC tournament in which he qualified for the Division I NCAA meet. Casey was selected to be a team captain and helped the Bobcats win a MAC team championship.
