Deborah Malone started her teaching and coaching career at Valley Forge High School in the spring of 1974.

She coached girls softball, volleyball, bowling, and boys golf. During her tenure coaching softball, Valley Forge won their first conference championship in 1976. Under her leadership, the Patriots bowling team won numerous league titles. While coaching boys golf she witnessed Rich Gaukin achieve a hole in one at Fowlers Mill golf course.

She retired from teaching and coaching after 37 years. She resides in Brecksville, Ohio.
