David Kajganich participated in baseball from 1978-1980, playing under Head Coach Lou Cangelosi. He was honored to be named a captain on a team with many talented players. After his senior year, he became the first player in school history to be named to the All-Ohio baseball team. He was also named All Lake Erie League, All Sun-West Baseball Team, Plain Dealer All-Scholastic Baseball Team and Greater Cleveland Baseball Coaches Association All-Star.

After high school, he went on to play at the College of Wooster from 1981-1984, where he became a team captain and was named to the All-Ohio Athletic Conference team, Team Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year.

After graduation, he was an Assistant Coach at Cuyahoga Community College. Many years later, he continued to give back to the sport by coaching various youth travel teams, at the high school level. He returned to coaching at the college level, and for the past ten years, has coached at Cuyahoga Community College, Rochester Institute of Technology and Ashland University. His passion for the game has allowed him to continue to lead and teach others. He believes that “a life is not important, except in the impact it has on others.”
