    Missy was a four-year varsity letter winner in basketball. Her team won the Lake Erie League title outright in the 1994-95 season shared it in 1993-94 and finished 6th in the state. They also won the District Championship her senior year and made it to Regional Finals.

     

    Throughout her basketball career, she was named Team MVP in 1994-95 and Most Improved in 1993-94 by Coach Konchan. She was nominated as a First Team All-Lake Erie League (LEL) point guard in 1994-95 along with an Honorable Mention LEL nods in 1992-93 & 1993-94, All-Cuyahoga County Honorable Mention 1994-95 and played on the Cuyahoga County All-Star Team 1995. She is ranked 30th on the all-time girls’ basketball scoring list.

     

    Missy was also a four-year varsity letter winner on the girls’ softball team. In her senior year, her team won the Lake Erie League Championship and also took the District Championship. She was named Team MVP 1994 & 1995 and Most Improved 1993 by Coach Stavole. She was also named to the All-L.E.L. First Team in 1994 & 1995 and was Honorable Mention in 1993. Some other honors received throughout her softball career were an All-State Honorable Mention 1995, All-Cuyahoga County First Team 1995 and Honorable Mention in 1994 and played in the Cuyahoga County All-Star game in 1995.

     

    Missy was a 3-year letter winner in volleyball during her time at VF. She earned Team MVP honors in 1994 and was Most Improved 1993 from Coach Kauffman. Her honors in volleyball include being named All-L.E.L. First Team in 1994 and Honorable Mention nods in 1992 & 1993, All-Cuyahoga County Honorable Mention in 1994.

     

    After her high school career at VF, Missy went on to play basketball at Baldwin-Wallace College for the Yellow Jackets from 1995-1997. During her time with the team, they made it to the NCAA tournament first time in school history in the 1995-96 season and again in the 1996-97 season. She then became a student coach for the team during the 1997-98 & 1998-99 seasons.

     

    She also earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports Management/Medicine from Baldwin-Wallace College in 1995 and a Masters of Educational Technology majoring in Mathematics & Science from B-W in 2005. Missy has lived in Reston, Virginia with her husband, Mike, and two kids, Parker (5) and Mia (2) for the past 14 years. She has also taught math and science at Thoreau Middle School and coached at Madison High school during that time.
