Coach Nancy Anne Fedak
Nancy Fedak started the girl's gymnastics program in 1971 with six girls. The program continued to grow as did the number of gymnasts. In 1976 under her direction, Valley Forge hosted the North East Ohio High School Athletics Gymnastics District meet. Over 120 girls’ gymnastics teams competed. In 1976, Penny Baumann was the first female athlete to qualify for the state meet.
Following her in 1978, Pia Sterner was Valley Forge's first State Placer finishing 6th in the vault. Valley Forge's first two “Outstanding Female Athletes” were two gymnasts Michelle Molls and Stephanie Gondek. Nancy retired in 2000 to take care of her father and currently resides in Parma, Ohio.
