21st Century Discovery Centers

  • Discovery Center

The Parma City School District operates three Discovery Centers, funded through a 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant. This federally funded program is a free after school program for students attending those schools.

The objectives of the 21st Century Discovery Center are to provide academic intervention in math and reading, college and career exploration, dropout prevention, youth development enrichment activities, and parent engagement.  The discovery center provides a safe environment for students to learn and receive help with homework, participate in enrichment activities in technology, the arts, character education, physical fitness, and many more areas of interest.  We will be hosting family events and provide field trip opportunities.

21st Century Discovery Centers are located at:

    • Parma Senior High School
    • Valley forge High School
    • Thoreau Park Elementary School
