At the March 24, 2017 PCSD Board of Education Special Meeting, the Board approved Resolution 2017-03-139, "Acceptance of Superintendent's Focus on the Future Short-Term Recommendations".
Under the "Facilities/District Operations" section, one of the recommendations was to "engage in 'Educational Visioning' model by working with Curriculum and Instruction Department and Action Team, Facilities Usage and District Operations Team and stakeholders in the district for input funded through budget reductions."
Funding for Educational Visioning was secured through the City/County funds available to the Superintendent. No PCSD general fund dollars were utilized for Educational Visioning.
A team of over 60 students, teachers, parents, community members, administrators, and Board Members collaborated with members of the Harrison Planning Group early in 2018 to develop visions of the facilities they felt would be critical to advance future student learning. Harrison compiled a report to help inform the Master Planning process.
Below is the report for Educational Visioning, in addition to Board Resolution 2017-03-139.
