Jim was a member of the original teaching/coaching staff at Normandy High School in 1968. He was the first wrestling coach from 1968 to 1980 helping establish the program. He was the cross country coach from 1968 to 1970; and again from 1980 to 1992.
Jim was the coach of the first Normandy High School victory in cross country in 1968 against Padua. He also led the Invaders to the school's first Athletic Trophy earned in wrestling at the North Ridgeville Holiday Tournament in 1970. In addition, he was named All League or Tournament Coach of the Year nine times.
Jim is a member of the Euclid High School Athletic Hall of Fame. He is a two year Athletic Award winner at Ohio State University for wrestling in 1959 and 1960. Jim was awarded a black belt in Judo while serving in the Marine Corps in Japan in 1955.
Jim is currently retired and resides in Strongsville, Ohio. He enjoys traveling, playing golf,swimming, fitness conditioning, along with sport shooting -skeet/trap.
