In Carol's time at Normandy, she played girls basketball, volleyball, and ran track. She was a league Most Valuable Player in the Lake Erie League in both basketball and volleyball. In basketball, she was named to the All-State team for Ohio in 1979 and was also named MVP in the Cleveland All-Star game. While running track, Carol finished third in the state in long jump in 1978 with a jump of 17' 3 1/2".
Carol attended Purdue University. While at Purdue University, she played women's basketball from 1979 to 1983 and was a four year starter, three time MVP, and a letter winner. She was named Purdue Outstanding Scholar Athlete in 1983. She was also Academic All-American (National Selection) in 1982 and 1983. Carol earned the honor of being the Regional College Player of the Year in the Great Lakes Region in 1983. Carol has also been inducted into Purdue Athletic Hall of Fame.
Carol was Purdue University's Assistant Women's Basketball coach and Recruiting Coordinator from 1985 to 1987. Carol currently resides in Plano, Texas. She was the Head Coach of Texas Fury Basketball Club in Plano, Texas- teams for girls in kindergarten to high school; eight teams each season from 2001 through 2009. Carol was also the high school girls basketball coach at John Paul II High School in Plano, Texas from 2008 - 2011.
