Coach Ken Konchan

    Ken was the head girls basketball coach from 1974 to 2000. His teams won 338 games, four Lake Erie League Championships, 14 sectional titles and five district championships. They were also District runner-ups twice. His 1993-94 team finished 21-2 and ranked No. 6 in Ohio. He was named the Greater Cleveland Basketball Coaches Association Coach of the Year two times. Ken was also awarded the Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame Award.
     
    During his tenure he was named LEL Coach of the Year four times. He coached seven All-Ohio players and four LEL Players of the Year. Ken also coached football and baseball and served as the athletic director for 15 years.
     
    Ken is currently a Professor of History at the University of Akron and a Professor of Philosophy, Ethics, and Humanities at Tri-C.
