Dick Nowack - Class of 1964

  • Dick Nowak Dick Nowak earned letters in football, basketball and baseball. He was selected to be a team captain while playing linebacker, guard, and punter during his senior season. He was a Cleveland Press Star of the Week after the Patriots initial win over Parma in 1963.  
    During that season, Dick led the team in tackles and had six interceptions. Postseason honors included Patriot Outstanding Lineman, the Cleveland Touchdown Club Most Outstanding Player in the LEL, the Coach and Athletic Prep Squad Honorable Mention All-American Award and was voted as the 1964 Outstanding Athlete.  

    Dick was on the North Squad in the football coaches All-Star game in Canton. He played freshman football and later served in Vietnam as a Special Ops Green Beret on recon Team Texas 1969.
