    The 1972 Wrestling Team was the only Valley Forge team to win a state championship.  Along the route to Columbus, they also were undefeated Lake Erie League champions, Brecksville Holiday Tournament champions and sectional and district champions. The Patriot wrestlers compiled an overall regular season record of 116 wins, 33 losses and 5 ties.
