Coach Jim Fritzsche was the first football coach at Valley Forge, from 1962 - 1972.  He won two Lake Erie League titles during that time - in 1964 and the undefeated 1968 team.  He was also golf coach from 1962 until 1983, winning 11 Lake Erie League championships.  He took two golf teams to the state tournament.

 

The Fritzsche trophy is awarded annually to the winner of the Valley Forge - Parma football game.
