Kyle played football and wrestled at Valley Forge and was a key member of the 1992 Lake Erie League championship wrestling team.   He advanced to the state tournament in 1992 and won the state title at 125 pounds.  He finished fifth in the National High School Tournament.  Kyle was selected as the Valley Forge Outstanding Male Athlete in 1992.

 

Kyle earned four letters in wrestling at Kent State University, where he was a team captain.  He was also a four time MAC place winner and NCAA Division I qualifier.  Kyle is now a teacher and head wrestling coach at Gahanna Lincoln High School.
