Mark letter in football and baseball at Valley Forge.  He was a three year starter at linebacker and was second team All-Ohio, Sun West Co-Defensive Most Valuable Player, was on the Cleveland Plain Dealer All-Star Team and was a two time All-Lake Erie League selection.  Mark was chosen as the Outstanding Patriot Athlete in 1986.

 

Mark gained notoriety at Youngstown State University by cracking helmets, his own, with his ferocious hits as a linebacker.
