Jim lettered in both football and basketball at Valley Forge.  In football, he played both ways as a lineman.  In basketball, he was a post player.  Jim attended Purdue University and earned three letters as an offensive tackle in football.

 

Jim was selected to play in the National Football League by the Philadelphia Eagles where he played for three seasons.
