Bob Jarus - Parma Senior High School Class of 1956

  • Bob Jarus '56 After leaving Parma, Bob was a halfback at Purdue. He led the Boilermakers in rushing in the 1957 and 1958 seasons while scoring 10 touchdowns in 1958. Jarus played in the 1960 Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama, and was drafted by the Oakland Raiders of the AFL, and the Cleveland Browns of the NFL.


    He signed with Cleveland and was eventually traded to the Green Bay Packers in 1960. He played one year for the Hamilton Tiger Cats of the Canadian Football League.   

    Jarus is a charter member of the Parma Senior High School Athletic Hall of Fame, inducted in 2007.
