Extended Day Child Care

    Priority Registration for families with students enrolled in EDC as of March 13, 2020 is now closed. If you anticipate needing Extended Day Care for your child beginning August 2020, you must submit an Inquiry Form to determine if space is available. Inquiry Forms for open registration will be available online beginning on May 1, 2020.

    EDC Inquiry Procedure

    Complete the Inquiry Form using the link to the right. Be sure to submit 1 form for each child. This includes incoming siblings new to EDC. When registering a kindergartener, please use "0" as the grade level.

    Space is available on a first come first served basis.

    You will be contacted via email letting you know if a child care slot is available. If no slot is available, you may have your child’s name added to the wait list. The EDC Inquiry Form will be available from May 1st through June 10th.

     

    SCHOOL CLOSURE UPDATE

    Extended Day Child Care services are not available when schools are closed. Parent EDC accounts have been charged only for contracted child care services through Friday, March 13, 2020.

    If you have paid for EDC services from March 16, 2020 through April 3, 2020, your overpayment will be applied as a credit to your EDC account for the 2020-2021 school year. If your child will not be returning to EDC, a Children’s Services Account Manager will contact you to set up any refund due to you.

     

    NEW PAYMENT POLICY FOR CHILD CARE SERVICE EFFECTIVE AUGUST 2020

    Effective August 2020, tuition for Extended Day Child Care Services must be pre-paid monthly or bi-monthly by the 15th of the month prior to the service period, except for the August payment which will be due August 3rd. A schedule of EDC service periods and due dates is listed on the Tuition Changes for 2020-2021 tab of our website. The schedule will also be included with the enrollment information registered parents receive.

    The Parma City Schools Department of Children’s Services relies heavily on full and timely payments from all parents who contract for child care. We thank you for keeping your EDC account current.

     

    Tax Information:  

    To request a statement of total child care payments made for income-tax purposes, email us at childcareservices@parmacityschools.org. Include your name, your child's name and the school they attend, and we will send your information by return email. The District'sTax Exempt Number is 34-6002163.
