Please note that many of these items are consumable in nature and may require replacement throughout the school year.
State Road Supply Lists 2008-2009

KINDERGARTEN SUPPLY LIST

  • Supply Box (cigar type or plastic)
  • Paint Smock (old blouse/shirt of parent)
  • Book Bag
  • 1 Pocket Folder
  • Boys – 1 box tissues and 1 bottle liquid soap 
  • Girls – 1 box Ziploc Bags (gallon size) and 1 container wipes 
  • T-shirt for gym class with the child’s Name on the front and back (a marking pen may be used)
  • Gym shoes (with a drawstring bag for the shoes if the shoes will be kept in school)

PLEASE PUT THE CHILD’S NAME ON ALL ITEMS OF CLOTHING AND SUPPLIES.

Please help your child:

  • recite home address and phone number
  • recognize and print first name (capital letter for first letter only; following letters lower case)
  • hold a pencil correctly while printing first name
  • use crayons for drawing and coloring
  • hold scissors correctly and cut
  • manipulate a glue bottle and use a little at a time while gluing
  • dress himself/herself
  • tie shoes, button, and zipper
  • identify colors
  • assemble simple puzzles
  • speak loudly, clearly, and in complete sentences
  • early childhood games such as Candy Land, Chutes and Ladders, Color Bingo, and Memory are excellent for your child to be playing now.

FIRST GRADE SUPPLY LIST

  • Book Bag
  • 4 Pocket Folders (with pockets on the bottom—not on the sides)
  • Fat Pencils
  • Crayons – 24 count only! 
  • Scissors – pointed
  • Elmer’s Glue (white)
  • 4 Glue Sticks
  • Supply Box – not extra long
  • One package of black, dry erase markers by Expo (low odor)
  • One ruler with inch and cm markings
  • One large pink or green soft eraser (no character erasers)
  • 2 Boxes of tissues
  • Two wide-ruled, one subject spiral notebook
  • Girls: Two boxes of zip lock baggies, sandwich size  
  • Boys: Two boxes of zip lock baggies, gallon size freezer bags
  • 2 containers Lysol wipes
  • Math Flashcards (up to 12) for addition and subtraction
  • Gym:  T-shirt with name on it; tennis shoes
  • Art:  Paint shirt

Please label all items with student’s name.

**Please practice tying shoes. All first graders should be able to tie!**


SECOND GRADE SUPPLY LIST

You will need a smile and a few other things for second grade!

  • Plastic Zipper Pouch
  • School box to hold school supplies
  • *Elmer’s Glue – White, 4 oz. Bottle
  • *6 Glue Sticks – large size
  • *6 Pencils – (sharpened) - No pens or mechanical pencils
  • Fiskar brand Scissors – pointed, no plastic (lefty, if needed)
  • *Colored Pencils (sharpened) – no markers
  • 3 Hi-Lighters (different colors)
  • 2 Pocket Folders
  • 1 Wide-Ruled Spiral Notebook
  • 1 container baby wipes
  • 1 container Clorox wipes  
  • Tissues – 1 large box (175 count or larger)  
  • Gym:  T-shirt with name on it; tennis shoes
  • Art:  Paint Shirt

  • 1 Bottle of Elmer’s Glue (white with orange lid)
  • 2 Glue Sticks
  • Twelve #2 pencils (steady supply)
  • 12” ruler – marked with inches and centimeters
  • Pointed Scissors
  • Markers – 8 pack, thin tip
  • Tissues – two large boxes (replace as needed)
  • Hand-Held Manual Pencil Sharpener with lid 
  • Multiplication Flashcards (1 set for home)
  • Division Flashcards (1 set for home)
  • 1" three ring binder with clearview pocket on cover  
  • 1 supply box (no larger than 7 ½”x5”)
  • 1 bottle of hand sanitizer
  • 1 container baby wipes (for art)
  • 1 container Clorox/Lysol wipes for classroom 
  • Boys:  one box sandwich size zip top bags
  • Girls:   one box snack size zip top bags 
  • Gym: T-shirt with name on it; shorts; tennis shoes; sweatsuit (optional); drawstring bag (to store clothes). Gym clothes to be worn to school on gym days
  • Art:  Oversized button-down shirt
  • Homeroom teachers may have additional requests.

Donations for science lessons:  used tennis balls, marbles, ping pong balls, mason jars, shoe boxes, Christmas lights, new aluminum foil, paper towels, sandwich bags, cotton balls, gallon size zip top bags.

MRS. ROTHACKER'S SUPPLY LIST - PRIMARY

  • Book bag
  • Supply box - plastic, larger rectangular size, snap lid
  • Crayons - 8 count only, Crayola
  • Elmer's Glue - 2 small bottles

  • 6 pencils, sharpened (no markers, pens or pencil sharpeners)
  • 2 erasers (pink)
  • 2 large boxes of tissues
  • 1 bottle of anti-bacterial hand wash
  • 1 red folder for speech (two pocket with clasps)
  • 1 folder with designs (homework folder)
  • Art: paint shirt, large sized men's, buttons or snaps
  • 1 complete change of clothes (shirt, pants, underwear, socks) - labeled with your child's name - place in an extra large ziploc bag labeled with your child's name in permanent marker

MISS CERVENKA'S SUPPLY LIST - INTERMEDIATE

  • Back pack/Book bag - Big enough to fit folders, library books and lunch box
  • Box of crayons - 16 count Crayola
  • Pack of colored pencils
  • Pack of markers, washable 
  • Elmer's Glue - White, washable, School Glue (no gel/blue glue)
  • 2 Gluesticks - colored glue OK
  • Pencils - at least 3
