COMPUTER APPLICATIONS I
Students in Computer Applications I begin the semester with a review of their keyboarding skills. Topics to be covered will include: Drawing Applications, Word Processing, Spreadsheets and Charting, Database Applications, Desktop Publishing, Presentation Graphics, and Internet Applications. Parma Senior High students use the Open Office software program.
This course will cover the following topics:
- Review of Keyboarding Skills 1 week
- Word Processing Applications 3–5 weeks
- Spreadsheet and Charting Applications 3-5 weeks
- Database Applications 4-5 weeks
- Integration Application 2-3 weeks
- Desktop Publishing Applications 1-2 weeks
- Internet Applications 1 week
- Presentation Graphics 1-2 weeks
In closing, I am very excited to be an educator within this district, I am a product of the Parma City Schools. My classroom is based upon respect; including respect for the teacher, students and the lab. My hope is to have an open line of communication with students and parents throughout the semester.
