COMPUTER APPLICATIONS I
Students in Computer Applications I begin the semester with a review of their keyboarding skills. Topics to be covered will include: Drawing Applications, Word Processing, Spreadsheets and Charting, Database Applications, Desktop Publishing, Presentation Graphics, and Internet Applications. Parma Senior High students use the Open Office software program.
GRAPHIC DESIGN
Students in Graphic Design begin the semester developing skills in vector drawing and image editing using Corel Draw and PhotoPaint. Student are introduced to the Principles and Elements of Design. Students create Personal Logos, Commercial Presentations, Magazines, CD Covers, Brochures, Buttons and more...
WEB DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT
Students in Web Design and Development start the semester with an overview of Web Environments followed by an introduction to HTML. Students review the Elements of Graphic Design and apply them to the organizational steps for planning a Web Site. Students will design, organize and publish a personal Web Site using Macromedia Dreamweaver, Flash and Fireworks. Students have the opportunity to contribute to the Parma Senior High Web Site.
