PCSD Kindergarten Registration on March 8 and 9, 2017
In an effort to make registration an easier and more efficient process for parents and guardians in the communities we serve, the Parma City School District is once again holding our annual Kindergarten Registration event on March 8 and 9, 2017. This registration event will be held at the Cuyahoga County Public Library Parma Branch, 6996 Powers Blvd. in Parma. The Parma Branch Library is conveniently located near University Hospitals Parma Medical Center and Parma City Hall.
The event will run both days from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM and then 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Besides the registration and short health screening, the event also provides information about Kindergarten readiness, Day Care and other programs offered throughout the district and our communities.
Children must be 5 years old by September 30 to be eligible to register.
Parents and guardians of students must bring the following materials to Kindergarten Registration in order to properly register their child:
Proof of Residency:
If they live in an apartment with 6 or more units, they need their lease.
If they own their home, they need a current utility bill.
If they rent a home, or something with up to 5 units, they need to have an owner-tenant form filled out by the landlord. That form must be notarized when the landlord signs it.
The owner also needs to provide one of the following:
A water bill in owner’s name, a real estate tax bill or receipt, or a homeowners insurance bill or receipt. Also, the parent needs to provide a utility bill, in their name.
If there is a divorce, the parent must provide certified divorce papers, showing that they are the residential/custodial parent. If there was never a marriage, the mother is the one who has to register the child.
Parent must also provide a picture I.D. of themselves.
