2010 Washington D.C. Trip
Dates of 2010 trip: June 2, 3, & 4
Price of Trip: The total price of the trip is $325. The price includes all meals, admissions, transportation, night security, and two registered nurse chaperones.
The Social Studies department, administration, and staff of Shiloh Middle School encourage all students to attend this Washington trip. It is always the highlight of the students' middle school experience.
2010 Washington D.C. Trip - Dates and Deadlines
Oct. 12-27, 2009 - Collection of $100 non-refundable down payment. Checks or money orders should be made payable to Shiloh Middles School. No cash will be accepted. Please place check or money order in an envelope with your child's name and House letter printed on the outside. Seats are sold on a "first paid, first served" basis.
February 8-19, 2010 - The second payment of $225 will be due. No refund can be given after February 19, 2010. Place your check or money order, made payable to Shiloh Middle School, in an envelope with your child's name on the outside. Please make the necessary financial arrangements to assure your child's participation in this worthwhile trip.
March 1, 2010 - Students will begin to sign up for buses and rooms with three other students of their choice. Students who do not sign up with three other students may have their roommate assignments made by the tour director.
March 8, 2010 - The history teaches will distribute permission, medical, and insurance forms to the students.
March 10, 2010 - Roommate forms are due to history teachers. Student room and bus assignments are finalized
March 15, 2010 - Deadline for permission, medical, and insurance forms are due to the history teachers.
May 26, 2010 - Bus assignments are posted in eighth grade history classes.
May 27 and 28, 2010 - Student orientation assemblies in House classes. Each student will be given a "General Instruction" sheet and "Parent Information" forms, which explain the final details about the trip. These should be taken home and given to all parents. Any last minute questions will be answered.
June 2-4, 2010 The Shiloh Washington Trip. Students are to arrive by 6:15 A.M. on June 2. They will return to Midtown Shopping Center at approximately 10:30 P.M. on June 4.
