2008 Washington D.C. Trip

Price of Trip: $290.00 The price includes all meals, admissions, transportation, night security, and two registered nurse chaperones

The Social Studies department, administration, and staff of Shiloh Middle School encourage all students to attend this Washington trip.

2008 Washington D.C. Trip - Dates and Deadlines

Oct. 26- Nov. 5, 2007 - Collection of $100 non-refundable down payment. Checks or money orders should be made payable to Shiloh Middles School. No cash will be accepted.  Please pace check or money order in an envelope with your child's name and House letter printed on the outside. Seats are sold on a "first paid, first served" basis.

February 4 - 11, 2008 - The second payment of $190 is due by Feb. 11 at 4:00 P.M. Place your check or money order, made payable to Shiloh Middle School, in an envelope with your child's name on the outside. Please make the necessary financial arrangements to assure your child's participation in this worthwhile trip.

February 25 to February 29, 2008  - Students will sign up for buses and rooms with three other students of their choice. Students who do not sign up with three other students may have their roommate assignments made by the tour director.

Feb. 29, 2008 - Deadline for roommate/bus partner forms. Student room and bus assignments are finalized.

March 10, 2008 - The history teachers will distribute permission, medical, and insurance forms to the students.

March 20, 2008 - Permission, medical, and insurance forms are due to history teachers.

May 27, 2008 - Bus assignments are posted in eighth grade history class

May 29 - 30, 2008 - Student orientation assemblies in House classes. Each student will be given a "General Instruction" sheet and "Parent Information" forms, which explain the final details about the trip. These should be taken home and given to all parents. Any last minute questions will be answered.

June 4- 6, 2008- The Shiloh Washington Trip. Students are to arrive by 6:15 A.M. on June 4. They will return to Midtown Shopping Center at approximately 10:30 P.M. on June 6.
