Power of the Pen

"Power of the Pen" is a writing competition for seventh and eighth graders. Students compete against students from over 500 other participating middle schools in the state of Ohio. Students are required to try-out. Try-outs will be held in the second and third week of September. Exact dates will be announced.

Our students have been very successful this past school year and Shiloh Middle School students have written their way to the state writing competition for the last two years. In the 2004-05 school year eighth grader, Jessica Fitzsimmons, and seventh grader, Leslie Virnelson, were state qualifiers.
